Playground

Today ground was broke on the playground. It was a chilly 60 degree morning. Look at the ADORABLE spectators. Note that Maddie's picture is on the big red stroller.

Here my poor attempt at digging. Yes it was not much, but I broke ground. And it felt good.

A new baby to play with. The baby in green coat is a friends little girl. Bridgette is in white and Samantha in Pink & Teddy is in blue.

Teddy is sooo excited to have some guys to hang out with.

The actual people putting in the playground. Thanks for letting me dig the first shovel of dirt.

Here's to you my sweet Madeline Jean, Mommie loves you so much. Thanks for smiling on us today.

Yea! I'm so happy for you guys that the playground is becoming a reality. What a neat way to honor Maddie.

Madeline

Our sweet Madeline Jean, had 8 very good days in the NICU. By day 3 Maddie had moved to high flow nasal cannulas for breathing, she was taking feeds and as spunky as ever. On day 8 she became ill, her stomac became enlarged, she was critcal, on day 9 the Doctors took a look inside and found all of her intestines and half of her stomac had died. We had her baptised and held her, as soon as she was in my arms skin to skin with me, we removed her breathing assistance and let her go very quickly and peacefully. We would later find that the cause of her death was NEC (Necrotizing Entrocolitis). We feel blessed to have had her for 9 days.
