Another 5K, Sarah's Daisy Dash

My second official 5K!! I ran it in 29:56, I averaged 9:37 min/mile.

Alexis and Olivia ran the 1/2 mile Lady Bug Run. My husband got the kids ready and brought them, so Alexis was wearing lots of layers and it was hot out.

Running, my first 5K

So I started Running back in late February, a friend was doing a couch to 5K app and I decided to try it out. Me a person who swore I hated to run, well here 2.5 months later I am addicted. I ran my first official 5K and finished in 31:33, not my best time, but my first official time. This means I was running 10:10 minute miles on adverage. I had to stop and walk several times as my Asthma flared up.

Alexis came with to cheer me on and run her own little 1K race!

Madeline

Our sweet Madeline Jean, had 8 very good days in the NICU. By day 3 Maddie had moved to high flow nasal cannulas for breathing, she was taking feeds and as spunky as ever. On day 8 she became ill, her stomac became enlarged, she was critcal, on day 9 the Doctors took a look inside and found all of her intestines and half of her stomac had died. We had her baptised and held her, as soon as she was in my arms skin to skin with me, we removed her breathing assistance and let her go very quickly and peacefully. We would later find that the cause of her death was NEC (Necrotizing Entrocolitis). We feel blessed to have had her for 9 days.
