New Temporary Big Girls Bedroom!!

Samantha, Bridgette and Teddy are getting too big to continue sharing a room. So with the basement remodel going on, it inspired me to turn our old dinning room into a new bedroom for Alexis and Olivia. It will only be temporary until phase 2 of our remodel is done. We decided to just use leftover paint from their current room as our paint colors.

 

Everyone helped paint!!

 

This old closet dresser fits perfect into an area that would have had a built in curio cabinet.

Some leftover purple paint works well.

 

What would have been a built in hutch for the dinning room makes a great closet space. I started by putting some dressers in there.

 

Also decided to paint some shelves I had in that space that was more recently a playroom. Some more left over purple paint worked great!

They fit nice on either side of the new closet area.

The girls Bed fit nicely into this small room.

Finishing touch, some pink curtains I found on clearance at Target!

Father Daughter Ball!!

I did not take as many pictures this year. The girls are excited to go with Dad to the annual Father Daughter Ball!!

Happy 9th Birthday. I can not believe you are growing up so fast!!

 

Birthday Celebration American Girl Style!!

I have a house full of girls, so it's natural we end up at places like "The American Girl Doll Store" at the Mall Of America. Today American Girl rolled out its girl of the year, Saige. So we decided to celebrate Alexis's birthday 2 days early.

I forgot to mention that grandma came with and here is Alexis's birthday loot. Not too bad.

 

 

I dropped most of her things off in the car, but we came back in to have a tea birthday party American Girl style.

 

Notice the doll on the left, that is the girl of the year and one of Alexis's new presents!!

Of course with 4 sisters, Teddy has to have an American Girl Doll. It's one of the boy Bitty Twins, and he loves him.

Bridgette and her Bitty Twin. Notice all the girls have matching outfits with their dolls?? Their Aunt Dawn sewed those for them and gave them to the girls for Christmas.

 

After the meal. It was cake time. It was a really YUMMY cake.

After dinner time to day dream. Alexis wants to put this on her list of things. A little to pricey for my taste.
